heater control valve not supported
Hello Everyone, hope I can get some input with this issue I'm having. first let me provide some background, I have a 2006 325I that has a heater control valve installed, I needed to replace one of the hoses so I called FCPEuro cause of their lifetime warranty, gave them my VIN number, and they told me based on my VIN number my car does not support it. However, I got this car from the original owner and I know she is not handy with tools only took it to her mechanic.so my question is, should I remove the Heater control valve and just drop in the hose that goes from the radiator to the firewall? of keep the Heater Control Valve? I found the right hose for it, but there is second issue. I don't think it's ever worked. I did some troubleshoting and some research and from what I understand the connector that goes to the Heater contrl valve, one cable the positeive should have 12V, and the ground is a PWM signal controld by the IHKA, however I hooked up my scope and I se no PWM signal or power for that matter. I say I think it has never worked because i have never had hot air since i bouth the car from this girl. I have check all fuses, used INPA to test the flaps and noissues with them, no errors report for the flaps either. any advise would be appreciated. Thank you
