Hi guys, I’ve been looking intro retrofitting FLA mirror on my ‘08 E90, and found an E60 mirror with all the bells and whistles, would it work? If not, are there any mirrors from different platform that would fit on my 3 series? I’ve searched the forum but didn’t find much except for the E46 mirror. Thank you!

When I upgraded mine, I used a mirror from a salvage X5 that was a couple of years newer.

It worked perfectly.

An E60 one should work, but will be a Gen1 FLA mirror. For best results, the LCI E70/E71 X5 or X6 mirror is best.

Part number is 51169225980. Keep an eye out for a generic eBay listing for an X6 mirror without a part number. Found both of mine that way for about $40.

My preference for E90 is M3 donor.
It is same P/N as Hoody007 noted

My story:
1. E90 - M3 donor: the best overall
2. E70 - E71 donor: works great
3. E91 - E84 donor: it cuts off high beam on every road sign.

If they are the same part number then what are the differences between them? I'm asking because I just did this retrofit with a E71 mirror.
