please help. idrive displaying "please wait..." when trying to connect Bluetooth

I recently bought a 2008 e92 335i. With it being an older car I did expect some issues here and there.

I am having issues with the idrive. More specifically it is slow and lagging in the menus. I am also unable to use Bluetooth as it just displays “please wait…” all the time. I also cannot seem to change the mode of my car into sport or sport plus as when I do nothing happens.

The back left speaker in the rear of the car is also not working.

I have plugged a code reader into the car and these are the codes I have received. The two wing mirror error codes are abit odd as I am pretty sure I don’t have automatic mirrors.

(I have the CIC idrive)

Any help or advice will be much appreciated. Thank you!

There was only bluetooth phone in cars up until around 2010 at least in the United States . Then you had to have a certain level of idrive and a combox to get streaming music. Also even bluetooth phone was and option not all cars came with from 06 to 09.
Check for the options your car came with using Mdecoder.com or one of the other Vin decoders.
No idea of what your scanner is but not all scanners give good results with a BMW .

It has the option to use Bluetooth to make calls but not to stream music. For music streaming I have to use the aux. However when I plug the aux in my phone registers being plugged into the car but no sound plays through the car as I cannot adjust the volume through the idrive. The volume is stuck on the lowest setting and does not allow me to click on it.

This is a screenshot of the options it came with using the site. Does this mean I can’t use my phone to play music off using an aux?
