+1 for 75% = 3 o'clock position, I was trading emails w/ T the day I opened mine up to confirm the 75% position. Also, I was the one that asked on the other forum about leaving the jb+ connected while adjusting boost...and T did reply with yes you can leave it connect...as long as you can reach it and not loose the screws...lol...

Mike --
i havent recieved my jb+ yet, but is the blue dial a pot or a multi-position switch? or a multi-position pot? also, what value is it? reason i ask is i think i'm going to put a new one on that will allow me to change settings without opening up the unit. or... does the pic software not read the pot's value continuously, so it doesnt matter if you change it while its plugged in/booted up? thanks, daniel |

I have been running my car pretty hard at sea level, no codes thrown at 75% setting.
Also, if you want to adjust it without removing the unit, I believe it would be pretty simple to drive a hold in the case, so you could simply insert a small screw driver and turn the potentiometer. It would be pretty easy to do it by feel. I don't really think you have to worry that much about water intrusion in that area of the engine cover. You could even cover the drill hole with a piece of electrical tape if you are worried about it.

im about to buy the JB+ and im not sure if I am pre or post 29.2... but i do have an early 07... i dont know if that matters....
anyways I'm probably going to turn up the boost to at least 75%... sooo my question is if i am pre 29.2 I don't even need to worry about to tuner codes right? and if I am post 29.2 then i should buy the cable to clear the codes right? buuuut is there someone with a post 29.2 that turned up the dial and hasn't gotten codes? also regardless of 29.2 or not... if I turn up the boost with the JB+ all the way or even 75% i wont F up the engine... will i? thanks for whoever replies! |

I have the newer software, no codes at sea level. When summer comes around, or if you are racing at 4000ft elevations, you might want to return it to the default setting.

Hey, so i hear people saying that 3 oclock is the default postion, but the photo and install instructions all show the dial to be at what i'd call 'noon' (halfway between min and max). can any one let me know what direction "noon" is in relation to the photos and in taht context is default "noon" or "3"? i just bought a used one of these and i want to know before i go installing it.

Jb+ with octane & settings on 50/75/100% boost settings caused car to jerk & gearbox confused on changes ..
Minimum power only in midrange & loss of power @ higher rpm on dyno .. Removed it & car was smooth as butter again .. |
