Stuff like this is why I love this community. Much respect.

Not only does it bring me joy to see kindred spirits doing their thing, it makes me feel slightly better about my own tendencies to take everything to 11 .

Thanks for sharing all these great pics!

YAY VICTORY! I'm glad you got it sorted! wish that was the case with mine but I've driven with all that stuff removed and squeak remains.

I figured if the door seals can make a creaking noise in the cabin, the windshield has to be the same. Cleaned everything really well, soaked the rubber trim in Gummi and then lubed up all of the parts that rub against the windshield.
My cowl is only a couple years old, along with the windshield and seals. It did sit for most of that time while I was out of commission, so I guess it's possible. It's sealed against the glass pretty good, I don't want to pull it off just yet but may come to that, but I drizzled some maguiars rubber and vinyl juice along the edge and let it soak in. No effect. And doors lol I leaned over and opened the passenger door going down the road, still squeaking. I'm starting to get a Moby Dick complex with this squeak, I'll hunt this thing to hell iffn I have to.

Would 1"x2" wood strips on the road be enough to force the squeek.

If you could shoot a spitball at mine and shut it up I'd be most grateful also. Even smaller than that, just slight irregularities not even bumps, anything that sets up the hint of an oscillation. It sounds like metal rubbing on plastic, but squeaks are like mirages for your ears, it's really hard to say. I bought that recommended oil in the pic a few posts ago and added a drop to every screw point or clip or contact point while the dash and cage was off, squeak remains.

I had to take a break from it, everything works perfectly not a code on the scans so this can wait. For now gotta get a few things done with my truck before it gets cold, since it's too big for the garage. This thing always shocks me when I jump on working on it after months of E90, it feels like working on a Terex Titan or something. After a while it feels normal, then when I go back to the E90 it feels like working on a toy.

Have you looked into windshield adhesive? For some people I heard that when the adhesive cracks or becomes old it can make creaking noises. The noise could come from engine bay too, check engine cover, air filter plastic cover and other plastic bits near the windshield&firewall. Goodluck!
