You can get an aluminum chargepipe with a bov but thats more for just the noise and doesnt add any performance at stock levels. However you have much to learn as a first time driver and i strongly suggest to drive it at stock power levels and slowly add performance the more comfortable you get. If it was me personally, the first modification i would get is a tune, and a logging tool. And keep up with maintenance. Maintenance is key to longevity.
I'd argue the charge pipe with BOV is a bit better at managing pressure than the stock BPVs. So maybe no for "performance' as in going faster, but it's probably better for the mechanism's performance generally.

Apparently my dad is sayingg that tuning is legal but it won't pass smog. You Mr.E92 are saying that I should get it tuned and add a logging tool. I honestly don't know what a logging tool is but I know what a tune is. I heard MHD is pretty good for the Bmw 335i. I really do wanna tune it just cause it might help with shifting lag or delay. Thing is if I do Tune, I don't know what to do and how to install codes unless there are already codes. Could you explain what a Tune is and what a logging tune is. Will it help with the shift lag? If not what does a Tune do to the 335i?

COuld you step by step explain how to install MHD and XHP trans tune. I watched videos and they are all confusing cause they are skipping some important parts. Im not gonna tune or add parts yet and drive stock for a while just because I'm saving money rn so I could get VRSF exhaust, New aluminum chargepipe, and an intercooler which will probably cost me around 2.5 k maybe, and also adding the tunes. When they ask for a tuning license does it mean you actually need a tuning license to tune in Cali or is it just a tuning license for the app itself so that you could get their packages and transfer that data to the car?. I'm honestly so confused rn

Once you get the parts i will be more than happy to help you set everything up. Yes mhd will not pass emissions until you flash the stock map and then complete a drive cycle. You will need to buy the licenses from mhd to be able to flash the car. You also need to buy the wireless connect kit or an obd2 to usb that will connect to an android device.

Yeah thanks, when the time comes and I have all my parts and stuff maybe in the future, next 2-3 years or so cause I'm gonna be driving stock for a while. I could maybe get a phone number so that it is easier than texting on here. Just evaluating on what your saying. MHD will not pass unless you flash the stock map and then complete a drive cycle. I don't know what you mean by drive cycle and I don't know how much it will all cost for Tuning licencse,Wirless connect kit or a USB. Could you explain, how much will it cost for the tuning and stuff and what a drive cycle is.
