Rig up a mechanical oil pressure gauge so that you can read it while driving.

***OIL PRESSURE WARNING SOLVED***BMW E90 with same issue. Intermittent Oil Pressure Warning light for around a year. No performance issues or strange noises.Started when slowing down coming off highway and then progressed to when driving around town as well.Tried a can of Wynn's Super Charge Oil Treatment and after a few days light stopped coming on around town but still after highway driving. Bought another can and poured that in and six months later no warning lights. Guessing will have to do this again after next oil change but so far so good. Car running and sounding better also.

I bought a BMW 318i E90, 2011, in May 2024, after a couple of days the oil light came on, I contacted the previous owner and he assured me that there is nothing wrong with the car as he's used a trusted mechanic only. I still took it to my own mechanic to get it looked at, so upto now he's replaced the oil sensor, oil filter and full oil change 5w 30 and tested oil pressure while running the engine for an hour which results were fine. It only lasted 3 weeks and the oil light came back on. It happens when slowing down from high speed motorway use or around town driving of approximately 40 minutes. I took it back to another mechanic who suggested an oil upgrade to 5w 40 but again only lasted a couple of weeks and the light is back on. Reading some posts in this forum it seems to be a common problem for this model, I'm thinking of trying the oil supercharge treatment as a last resort?
