HELP PLZ.. Incorrect Fuel Level After Fuel Pressure Regulator Replacement

Hello Fellow Bimmer Boi’s, I recently had to replace my fuel pressure regulator on my n54 335xi e92 because it was leaking and my car started smelling like gas. After replacing the fuel pressure regulator the car no longer smells like gas and runs well. The only problem is now my fuel gauge does not read correctly. It will read completely full when I fill it up, but I actually ran out of gas Because the gauge showed I had more more than a quarter tank of gas left when in reality the tank was completely empty.

After realizing I ran out of gas because the fuel gauge wasn’t reading right I went ahead and opened the left driver side tank where the fuel pressure regulator sits, and I switched out the fuel level sensor that came with the regulator for my old one on the old FPR to see if it would make any difference in my fuel level. Problem is still the same.

It seems like my car thinks that the tank is completely full for a very long time after filling up. I can drive for like 70 miles and my gas gauge still says that I’m completely full. I took some pictures of the hidden menu fuel tank readings when I was almost completely empty and then right after I completely filled up. Hopefully this helps someone on here help me figure out what my problem is. It’s frustrating opening the tank multiple times over and over again and not making any improvement on this incorrect level situation.

I’m at the point where I was going to replace the fuel level float sensor on the passenger side that’s attached to the actual fuel pump.. really thinking about doing the Walbro 450 DIY install for some e85 fun but I want to figure this gas level sensor issue out first. if anyone smarter than me has some input, I would really appreciate it. Please see the attached photos I took of the hidden menu tank readings before I filled up… and after I filled up (put 15.54 gallons in it) Thank you guys in advance!!!!!
