airbag installed, no horn airbag light on

i need to get my car inspected so i put on my original steering wheel, both ground wires are plugged/screwed in and all wires are plugged in; but no horn, airbag feels spongy and the dash lights are still on, i've messed with the restraining plate and clock spring before so it might be one of those. also idrive is broken right now. any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

I exchanged my steering wheel for the sport one, same thing happened to me, hope you can get it fixed and post the results, I'll do the same.
