The last few winters have been very mild.. I miss a good snow storm to keep me home a day or two. I've had the e90 going on three years and I've been waiting for a good snow storm to see how it drives in it LOL

Put in my chrome kidneys and changed the trans mounts. Might just keep the clapped body panels because daily and people do not care 😂

All this talk of winter tires got me motivated to pull mine for the 330i out and clean them up. I'm running Conti Extremecontact sport 2 in the summer, I love riding on a good set of summer rubber. These and the Michelin PS4S are the two best you can get IMO (not trying to start a tire war lol).
I don't run real winter tires, I'll never take this car out in the snow. This is just for <40 degree temp, an old set of Sumitomo HTR AS P02, not the best tire in the world but OK. These came with the car, when they're worn out it'll get Conti DWS06+. Anyhoo they're clean and the scuffed up rims are as shiny as they'll get.

anyone tried the F8X M seat VS the E90 sport seats?

comfort wise?

imo, E90 sports are the most comfy seat I ever tried, would be even better if fabric, but no option in n/a.

I might want to swap F8x seats in my E91, however if the comfort is a downgrade, I might skip.

Just my opinion but not as comfortable to me as my f31 sport seats with lumbar etc,
Or my e91 sport seats. The side bolstering is no better on f80 vs current e91 sport.

Out with the old, in with the new! M3 carbon composite bumper reinforcement installed, 12 lb weight savings. 5 hr job, with an hr wasted messing with and ended up cutting exhaust hangers.

Highly recommended cheap mod - car immediately feels more balanced in turns/corners with the 275 rears, feeling like it did when I had 265 rears.

Color me shocked . That HF MC/ATV jack is one of the most useful things I ever bought. Used it in the spring on the sickle (put on chrome fork sliders and new oil tank).
I use it fixing the mower, and used it to lower subframes and trans on the bimmer. Highly recommend.

Thats genius. I need to start using mine again. The lever bent in half and broke and I haven't bothered to find a proper replacement. This would save me quite the headache doing.. all the sickle mods this winter. Never thought to use it for trans or subframe mount work either!

Define cheap? And why so long, not just a simple bolt on?

Got it for $100 CAD locally from a wrecker, which equates to about $72 USD 🙂

Took my time for this one. Rusty bolts, making due with a breaker bar and non-deep socket for the carrier bolts took a while 🙃. As did the hour wasted with the exhaust hangers. Putting things back together was much faster, although I had to take a few tries to properly align the tails. It all adds up!

Oil change time

Edit: also learned roof bars and cargo carrier might sacrifice roughly 5mpg. Will retest this in two weeks with no racks.

New tires on the 330Ci! Next up: control arms. Went with Continental SRS+. Compared to the 10 year old Super Sports, a world of a difference!

Changed the brake fluid and rotated the tires. This large chained brake bleed bottle made it a snap with no spills! A new record for me:

Oil & filter change too. Almost ready for winter!

Put my snow tires on. Might be a little early, but the temps are getting into the lower 40's at night here in the PNW. Running nokian hakkapeliitta's.
