I have no navigation it\'s a basic 328i and was wondering what\'s the cost. I know I have to change my dashboard and all but eats an estimate of it all.

You are most likely better off to get a standalone unit, buy a car that comes with it, or get the aftermarket retrofit that goes where the radio is.
I don't know who much OEM would cost you, but I'd guess 3 - 4K

About 2-2.5k for parts (oem FDC codes or TP hardware module)
500 combox (opt) 1k for conversion parts $800 labor. So like 4-5k all in. That's basically my quote from bimmer retrofit. Definitely cheaper if you can self install or source new dashboard for cheap.

i was thinking of either going for the retro that they provide here on the forums...or a pioneer avh-p4200 or the 43..but i dont want to loose the noises the car gives for seatbelts and other things..can all this still be kept if i go to some one who specializes on bmws for install?

Wait till Dynavin makes a Android E9X Navigation System this fall.
It will be better than OEM compared to it's price.

That sounds promising. Do you know whether they are working on one for the e82 as well?

FYI to the op: Bimmerretrofit sometimes has units for approx 2.5k including coding but not including installation.
