Emblems

So I bought some new emblems for the car to replace the factory BMW logos. It includes the hood, trunk, and wheel caps. Does anyone know if the front hood emblem is held in with either double-sided tape or mounting clips? Cause if it's tape then I'm gonna have to order some double-sided 3M tape. Thanks!

Normally they are attached via plastic tabs.

That's the back of the emblem, it does have an adhesive tape on it.

Update: both emblems have double sided adhesive on it along with the prongs that keep them in place. Also found out that the front & rear emblems are the same size (82 mm) as opposed to other G-chassis models where it's 82mm hood & 74 mm trunk.

So, if you want to replace the standard emblems to KITH or 50-Year emblems, it's 82mm hood & trunk and 56mm centre caps.

Ok quick question:

The front and back badges the same size, but one has double-sided tape only, and the other has two plastic prongs, and curiously, no double-sided tape.

I’ve been told that the front one has the tape. So the back one has no tape at all? How do the prongs hold it on?

Two distinct parts, same diameter, differing profile on the reverse, different adhesive layout, one has posts, one has posts with tabs and additional circular parts

A word of caution for anyone considering buying the JBSpeed 50 Jahre emblems... there are differences, and the rear one does not come with double-sided tape on it. I have been assured that the front one will fit, but as I don't have my car yet, I will have to wait and see.

I bought a roll of automotive tape from Amazon and added the tape myself.

Well that sucks for me. I ordered some on eBay and it listed my car as compatible, 2022 m240i. They were 82 and 74.
