Anyone install E92 M3 sways on an E92 335i?
Just curious as this seems like it could be a nice OEM upgrade from our stock Sways...
As when I had my A4, I purchased a used set of RS4 sways, which were a great bang for the buck upgrade. I also liked the idea of an OEM part. |

We have the M3 sway on our shop car and the difference is pretty amazing, one of the owners raves about how great an upgrade it is.
We do have them available as well for $174.95 http://www.ecstuning.com/stage/edpd/...aign=postreply |

I am surprised that they fit.

A stiffer rear swaybar is one of the best upgrades to the 335i. Stock front is 26.5mm while the rear is only 13mm (bendable in your hands) and the difference is exponential - it's not like 13 is half of 26.5, it's more like 13 is 1/10th of 26.5. For a car with near 50/50 weight bias, this was made:
A) For safety in the hands of someone who panics B) To differentiate the M3 from the 335i Don't underestimate B. Coil-overs will not fully compensate. Also, if you drive your car under different conditions with different wheels/tires, there is an extremely light adjustable rear swaybar out there. ![]() Roy

Correct, if you click the "learn more" link under the product description you will see a list of applications that specific item fits. As mentioned above, we have one of these on our shop 335i and have been extremely happy with the performance. It's a great OEM+ upgrade that helps transform the car.

Which one do you have to buy to make it fit the 335? Looks like the first option doesn't come with any hardware. Is the hardware the same on the 2 vehicles, i.e. can the 335 hardware be reused?

The Level 1 kit includes all the bare minimum for parts that are needed to install on the 335, the Level 2 kit includes bolts, bushing brackets and new sway bar endlinks. Either will work without additional parts required.

The M3 also uses a 26.5mm front sway (same size as 335i) and it probably wouldn't be a direct bolt on. The rear sway is where the difference is, and it's a pretty big difference.
As I mentioned above, we have this installed on our shop 335i and it really does transform the car. |

I actually just had the BMW parts admin look into xi fitment again, this will work with the xi models and the application chart has been updated. The xi models do have a slightly larger (15mm bar) from the factory, but not quite as beefy as the 20mm M3 rear sway.
We apologize for the application error. |

I like the idea of the OEM M3 rear bar because its a factory part, but won't this cause the car to have massive wheelspin since oversteer is dramatically increased with such a big diameter rear bar?

We have not noticed any additional wheel spin on our shop car, the bar just really improves the overall feel and handling of the car.
