LCI iDrive factory reset / personal data removal

Hi guys,

Just bought a 2011 335d LCI, and it has a iDrive and combox.

I just wandered if there was a way to remove all personal data / reset all configuration from the iDrive system.

I noticed other peoples phones, nav destinations etc. I'm not too sure what 'ConnectedDrive' does, and am unsure if this needs reseting?

Is there a way to factory restore / reset the iDrive?

Also, I plan to get the maps update on the system.

Do software updates exist for iDrive? Do I need to take to a BMW dealer for this?

Just delete the old paired phones and all the data is deleted. All of that is stored on the combox. When the phone is highlighted, move the idrive knob right and there is an option to delete. The idrive/CIC may have music stored on the hard drive. You can easily delete that. That is all I can think of at the user level.
