Does your passenger mat have a crease

Mine does and its really annoying as its constantly crumpled up in the footwell. Tried ironing it out, but it just comes back as soon as a passenger puts their feet on it!

Looked on ebay for a replacement and loads on there are creased too!

Guess its just the shape of the footwell!

Had a crease on the passenger side on one my previous e9x. Probably common enough.

TELL ME ABOUT IT !!!!! lol ( My 1 series didn't do this)

I got so pissed in the end (even drove round with a 20kg barbell plate lying on it to keep it flat!) that I just ordered a new set of mats off ebay. So far, 4 months in and no creases

Get new mats from BMW, and keep an eye on it. My passenger one is fine after a year or so.

My 1 series didnt have this problem. Guess its 5 years or being crumpled up by the previous owner, chances of me ever getting it back to normal are zero as the materials stretched! New passenger side mat required me thinks.

Yes and it does my head in! I think it's where new mats have previously been bought but to fit a full set in a single package they fold the passenger one up so its roughly the same size as the back and drivers, had the same on a MKIV Golf when I bought new mats, really could do with sorting it out!

Also if anyone has a cure to keep the mat in place? The drivers one has the Velcro pads but every time someone gets out of the passenger side it slides right up the footwell

Get new mats. They revised the passenger design if I remember correctly to be attached the same way as the drivers. Mine doesn't move.

Ha ha, yes! It drives me mad also.

Tried reversing the matt. Happened the other way round as well.

Tried pulling it to get the crease out. Wont go away.

Tried to put tension on it in the car to keep it straight. No good.

Just to be obtuse, I have two in my passenger footwell.

The bottom one is crease free, but the top one is seriously creased, but the "velcro" pad on the top one doesn't grip on the mat below - the bottom one grips the carpet fine. Both are genuine BMW mats.

Had this with the original mat in my car when I bought it so replaced with a good genuine used set from eBay as drivers side was also worn. Two ways to possibly stop it. Firstly it happens when the mats slides under dash then passengers get in, over time they are putting their feet on a slightly crumpled mat causing it to perminately crease so regular moving back into place has worked for me, bit of a pain though.
Secondly if the dealers still sell them buy the E36 or E46 mat clips & retro fit them into your passenger mat, will require 2 small holes cutting into the mat but won't be seen once clip surround is fitted. These worked perfectly on both my E36's
Or something like this below
