M Performance Shift Knob Differences

Hey all...I've searched all over the forum but have not found the answer to this issue. I'm currently looking for the M Performance shift knob for my 335xi. Now as far as I know all BMW shift knobs should be compatible. But my question is what is the difference between this knob: https://bit.ly/2vVFnOO or the one that everyone is selling for over $200 like this https://bit.ly/2ra2rEw

I'm not interested in the boot just the knob...if anyone could shed some light on this please.

The knobs are the same, the 200$ one just comes with the alcantara stitched boot with the plastic surround already pre-glued. That shift boot alone without the knob is like $120 MSRP from BMW, and at cost (what I got it for) was like $75

Beware if you have larger hands, it may feel a bit funny until you get used to it.

Personally, I feel this knob only works well if you have a short shifter/linkage. If you have stock shift throws/shifter height it feels a bit weird.

I had the weighted ZHP on my e46 but I didn't want to get the same one for this one. I liked the feel of the performance one but this one sold me with the carbon fibre. Eventually I plan to add a short shifter.
