Best way to remove 3M double sided tape residue.
What did you guys use to remove the left over adhesive on the trunk after removing spoilers?? Also after dbadging.

I've used that before and it works well so i guess I'll just go with that.

Goo Gone or Goof-off works well too....just make sure you re-wax the trunk lid after you use it.

I used lighter fluid and it was awesome! lol I let it sit for about a min or two.

Gas and lighter fluid works great, but it also takes the wax off and will dull the surface if you don't treat it right away afterwards (waxing & buffing the area).
Use either Goop-Off / Goo-Gone, or if your really can't find anything, WD-40 also works. Just spray any of those on, let it sit for a minute and then just start peeling the tape off. Even after using any of those products, I'd still clean the surface and then wax & buff it with some polish. |
