What to do with reflectors? Vinyl or painted?

Just installed my BMW performance grilles, and they are

Now I've got to get rid of those nasty orange reflectors. My car is JB so I'm thinking black vinyl would do fine?

Or do you suggest the painted route? Or smoked tint?

Just trying to get some ideas.

You can purchase prepainted, clear or smoked reflectors. We have these available for your car and they are a direct replacement.

Originally I thought I'd just save myself some $$ and just put a black vinyl over them since I've some leftover in my garage, but everyone seems to be saying painted.
