Help removing Steering AIRBAG

Hi.
In a 2007 e90 standard steering wheel, I´ve invested a lot of time trying to remove the airbag; I´ve followed the normal instructions (insert a # 20 torx wrench, push it until a little past you feel some opposition, and then try to pull the airbag out).
The issue is that the airbag does not come out, and I am pulling quite strong (my fingers already hurt), but it doesn´t move.

Any hint ?

Thanks in advance.

David.-

First off, idk where you read to use a torx driver to remove the airbag? Usually you would need to use a small flat bladed screwdriver.

By 'standard' I am assuming that you do not have the sport wheel - if that is the case, try using this DIY:

If you do have the sport airbag then use this DIY:

I don't have any experience with removing non-sport airbag, but from the DIY it looks as if it has the clip release holes in backside of wheel are in a different position than the sport bag and you would need to insert the screwdriver accordingly to release the clips. You will see what I mean after looking at both DIY's. The non-sport bag shows inserting the screwdriver in the vertical position to release the clip, with the sport you insert in a more horizontal position.

The problem you are having is that you have not released the clips that hold the airbag in. It takes a little finesse to get the screwdriver lined up properly to release the clip. Once you do, the airbag will pull out easily - if it doesn't, the clip isn't released
