480-500 BHP

Hello guys I'm planing to add more horsepower to my 335i I looking to get 480-500 horsepower and build M6 killer. I was thinking about RB Turbo and Hi-Flo Downpipes w/race cats. What else i can add to that list to reach 500 horsepower ??

Tune, Meth, race gas or e85, intercooler (that kind of setup will get severely heat soaked on the stock intercooler), thats just the start but you will be well on your way with those mods.

I made close to 450whp on stock turbos and e85 with the mods in my signature.

The M6 is heavy, you might not need RB turbos to take it, all depends what speeds you are planning on reaching. Check the 1/4 times of the stock M6 but you might be ok with e85 and/or meth, DPs, Intercooler.
But if you want close to 500hp you will need upgraded turbos

Jeff@TopGearSolutions should be able to help you with everything. Here's my recommendation:
Just citing the link I posted, Dzenno@PTF just hit 553 WHP/630 WTQ (which would absolutely slay the old & new M5/M6).
  • S85 V10 - 500 HP / 380 TQ (15% Drivetrain Loss: 425 WHP / 325 WTQ)
  • S63 BiTurbo V8 - 560 HP / 500 TQ (15% Drivetrain Loss: 475 WHP / 425 WTQ)

You'll prob be surprised, but just going FBO & running a strong (40%) E85 tune with Meth will probably put you past the last-gen V10 M6. RB Turbos might be necessary for the new TT-M6 since that engine will easily start turning out 600+ HP when people start tuning it

Thanks!

OP

You can get 430WHP with pump gas (93), Intake, Intercooler, Tune, Downpipes, cat back.

If you do E85 tune you can squeeze out another 15-20WHP. Most people here don't know the exact BHP but figure 15% higher then those numbers.

Upgraded turbo's would be for anyone planning on breaking 450WHP, you should expect to have all the above mentioned mods to reap the most power.

If you have any questions I'm a PM away. There are plenty of ways to get to the power it's just matter of how you want to get there.

Thanks guys, for me 430 WHP in enough but my friend from Poland want to build more powerful 335 and break 450 even more. I'll buy parts for him in US and ship to Poland.

Since meth, e85 and race gas are not widely available in Poland, your friend needs to get single turbo for reliable 500whp. How about finding a local wizard experienced in fabbing manifolds for turbo race cars?

Is his car automatic or manual?

you can find ethanol everywhere. no need to actually use methanol. Ethanol is good enough.

I have manual his car is automatic. I don't know how easy available meth is in Poland but anyway he want to avoid it, why I don't know.

I want to instal cobb, intercoller and intake in mine so I'll reach ~400, he will go farther like I said his target is ~500bhp

The AT will be a problem if he wants to make a powerhouse N54. For you to reach 400 WHP on pump gas, you're gonna need to go FBO (won't need meth/E85).
