Project: Retrofitting New Projectors into Depos
I am starting a project log very very soon once i get all the parts in. Unfortunately my car is a 325i e90 and was not lucky enough to have angel eyes as well as low-beam projectors.
So i have researched around the forums and a cheaper alternate way is to go with the Depo V2's headlights. If i read correctly most people do not have problems with these headlights and that most of the reviews were that these headlights have great looking housings as well as good looking angel eyes. But lack the effort to compete with OEM low-beams. I've decided to purchase the Depo's V2s and retrofit new projectors for the low-beam as well as adding an HID kit. I love the look of the interior housings as well as the angel eyes. Most likely going with these projectors: http://www.theretrofitsource.com/pro...itr4f93p5o3799 Has anyone else tried this before? Or have any pics or info with retrofitting new projectors in? |

nice! cant wait to see the outcome of this. i retrofitted FX bi-xenon projectors into my old accord. it was a bitch to do and took a lot of time, but the end result was amazing.
just make sure you align everything VERY accurately and test it at 20 feet (or more) from a flat wall before sealing everything up. up/down leveling should have some adjustment ability after the fact depending how you mounted the projector, but it's critical to get the left/right aiming exact or you'll end up with cross-eyed headlight beams.
