Just bought a 335XI Sedan
Whats up guys I just bought a 335xi Sedan in Alpine White with the M Sport package, Nav, Heated Seats, Premium Package & of course like any real car person/driver it is in manual. I have big plans for the car, I should be getting it in 6-8 weeks. I am coming from a 2008 Evo X making upwards of 500whp n 450wtq, I know the single turbos arent quite there yet in the power dept but hopefully they are working on these things & fast. I will be modding this car pretty much once it hits 1000K miles. What mod route should I go for these single turbo motors? I plan to do meth, turbo back exhaust removing all cats, intake, Procede tune. I was wondering if there are any other mods out that are worth it that I should get? Also what is the after market turbo situation looking like? I plan to run a T3/4 setup up if possible @ some pt with a 6262 but am not sure of the motors/transmissions limits. Any input or advice is much appreciated. Thanks!

Everything you mentioned is just about all that is on the market right now. Meth kits for integration with the procede and jb are coming out shortly. No retail turbo upgrades are out yet. If anything they are still in r and d phase. But as of right now i havent seen any info about aftermarket turbo upgrades

are there any preferred brands over others or proven that make more power over others in the sense of DP, Intercooler, Midpipes/Exhausts, Intakes, MEth KIts? I have heard alot about the AR 4" DP & the Helix Intercooler what are your thoughts? Also what about the intake, on the evo I owed it was only worth going aftermarket if you had a turbo upgrade. I plan to lower the car, does springs not do it justice & hurt its handling or with the proper camber & toe in/out it helps?

You are familiar with turbo engines. They always work off the same principles and physics. The popular downpipes are AR, Vishnu, anf berk i believe. For pure performance you want as free flowing exhaust as possible. Choosing a brand would be a matter of sound preferance. As far as suspension on the xi, most people will swear by either kw coils or a drop spring, bilstein combo.

I appreciate the help guys, the people over on Bimmerforums suck compared to this site! I will be ordering pretty much all the mods I possibly can tomorrow. I am definately going with the Procede tune, either the AR DP or the Vishnu DP, is one better than the other? Also in regards to the Helix FMIC, how does it stack up against the ETS? I had the ETS 4" for my evo & it was an amazing intercooler, probably the best on the market & it was huge! I will be getting the Injen CAI for sure.

Both of those dps are the most popular. Either one would perform fine if you work some physics out on them.
Im not sure ETS has a ic kit for the N55. The helix one is confirmed for fitment and has a breakdown thread. But hey, you can put whatever you want in there with a little fab work

you should look into some weight reduction too if you are going all out anyways. The xi is pretty heavy even heavier than the evo x by quite a bit. With lighter 18* wheels/ lighter exhaust/battery etc.. I'm pretty sure you are going to like the mix between luxury and sportiness.

wasn't the evo x 3600 lbs too?
don't let the weight scare you off though. It def won't feel like a 3800 lb car! I'm just saying some weight loss will be very beneficial |
