but which ones to chose , I research that a bit and it's not easy to chose the right ones and do you do front and back or front only
Jacques,

Leave the pad upgrade for the future. You will be fine stock for this event, trust me on this! You will still have quite a bit of pad life left.

And stop worrying whether the car will be able to withstand the event. It will! Focus on the nut behind the wheel

My friend you will have a blast!

The rubbertone paint started fading off on the rear of mine from rubbing against the headrest. Great helmet nonetheless.
I love the rubbertone because in pictures it looks like the car's driving itself.

Yeah I know , but what do you want that's the way I am,
I will be able to focus more on driving and learning when I know that all the small stuff is taken care off

however I have questions regarding tires choices,

The car presently sits on staggered 18” Style 5s with 235/40/18 Front and 265/35/18 rears Hankook V12s with less then 3K miles , since the 335Xi is a car that under steers a lot the staggered setup will only accentuate this characteristic and I’m afraid that it will take away from the learning experience

My other option is to use my 17 X 8 winter wheels and use them with 245/40/17 (Hankook V12s) all around , I have 2 tires already (1K miles) and would only have to buy 2 , I don’t really mind spending the money as I wanted to go square on the M3 anyway

The question really is ,does it matter at all ? Will the car be much more enjoyable to drive with the square set-up and will I have a better learning experience

^^ For your first HPDE, it won't matter at all. Just make sure your brake fluid is less than 6 months old and your brake pads have at least 50% left.

...adding: In theory, staggered tires should be better for first HPDE. But realistically, it's not going to make any difference either way.

True that, tire offset won't be a factor in your first few hpde's.

You will have your hands full with many other stuffs believe me.

My suggestion is to keep your staggered set-up.
