alignment and tire help
Hi,
I have a 2009 335i sedan with sport package, oem tires-Bridgestone Potenza RE050A RFTs, and after a regular service maintenance at BMW was told that my tires had abnormal wear on both the inside and outside of the front tires. The rear tires are fine. Driving appears normal. The service assumed it was secondary to potholes, curbs, or the like. BMW will not cover any of this. I'm still under warranty plus I purchased the wheel and tire package as well. They stated that if I had a flat/puncture it would not be covered under the wheel and tire package due to the abnormal wear from the misalignment. 1. Should this service be covered partially/fully? 2. Is it recommended to go to a BMW center for service? 3. If I do go to a non-BMW center for service will this void my warranty? 4. Will there be a significant price difference from a non BMW center? 5. Does placing rft's differing from the original or non-rft's void my wheel and tire package? 6. Will auto insurance pick up any of the costs? Thanks in advance. |
