335 owners past 4 yr/50k with extended warranty?

Getting close to my 50k mark...just wondering how many 335 owners on this board has the extended warranty/CPO.

If you have it, have you had to used it for warranty repairs yet?

I don't have a 335 or extended warranty, but a quick search will show several issues with with turbos, diverter valves, and other 335 related items failing past the warranty period. These items are very expensive on their own without labor. I had a diff go out on me and that cost about the same as the warranty. I also replaced my valve cover gasket. Had I bought the warranty, it would have saved me money. I probably could have gotten a few other minor things covered. With the 335's track record, especially the earlier models, it's worth it to get the warranty. One dead turbo bearing would make it all worth it.

I know that people usually post when they have issues, but don't post when their cars running fine. So of course if I search, I'd find a host of problems with turbos, WG, etc, but only find a handful of posts bout how someones car is running flawlessly.

I'm just trying to see if any members have gotten the warranty/or not and have to use it/or pay out of pocket.

Depends on what year of 335i. I wouldn't buy a used '07/'08 without extended warranty. '09 or newer, I would probably pass on the warranty.

Mines an 07 with 21K miles on it. It just went over the original warranty on time and I am now in CPO territory. I CPO'd it when I bought out my lease 2 years ago. I have had no warranty claims either under the original warranty or the CPO. "Touch/knock wood"
