Drinking SOME oil?

Is it bad? I was running my car pretty hard the day before and yesterday, I went and check the oil meter on BMW computer and it went down?
Started at a little less than full mark, then when I was done I was almost at half way mark. Got it filled up though now, just kinda worried.

Its been 6,500 miles since oil change and I do it every 7,500

It's an engine, they use oil sometimes. It's what they do.

It is normal for these cars to drink oil (especially if the car is driven hard into the higher rpm)

Keep in mind that the oil indicator shows the level for 1 quart (ie. when it's at the halfway point, means that it is short half a quart). Generally, if your in between the min and max line, your ok.

Mine does the same towards the end of the oil change cycle...usually about 1k left to go it will be down a notch

ur okay! every other oil change I would need to add half a quart
