Feeler: New Old Stock Code3 Performance/Spearco FMIC
We have found some new old stock of Code3 FMIC's, but we need at least 5 people to make it happen and to take all "new old stock" off of manufacturer's hands. This great FMIC used to retail for about $1100 but can be had for $800 right now. Shipping extra.
We have sold over 144 units from 2007 to 2009 so there should be plenty of reviews out there. Add your name to the list if you are interested. Performance numbers: Stock boost level +15.4rwhp @ 5310rpm +15.2rwtq @ 5310rpm Pressure drop stock boost level stock - 1.2psi @ 6450rpm Code3 - 0.6psi @ 5350rpm Upgraded boost level (14psi) +26.6rwhp @ 6040rpm +23.1rwtq @ 6040rpm Pressure drop upgraded boost level stock - 1.5psi @ 5950rpm Code3 - 0.7psi @ 5550rpm - Spearco Intercooler core measuring 6.0" thick x 5.875" tall x 22.0" wide - Tanks are made from 0.125" aluminum sheet - Unit designed to to hold up to 50psi - Kit includes Aluminum boost tube, 3ply silicone couplings (straight and 45°), four SS T-bolt clamps, and complete illustrated instructions. - No bumper removal required for the install |

I have the Code3 Performance IC in my car and it works perfectly. Even under hard driving the IATs are not very high, and I've never encountered heatsoak (except on the dyno, but that was to be expected).

I installed my code3 on the 1er with the bumper still on, so a 3 should be cake. Either way the spearco core itself is quite nice, great fin density. Welds are 8/10 for the endtanks. All in all it's a nice upgraded FMIC that requires trimming for fitment. They should include a little mini-hacksaw with every purchase for that
![]() May be a wierd tip for cutting plastic, but I light a propane torch and heat the end of a box cutter blade until cherry red (away from the car), and then sink the blade into the plastic I intended to trim - cuts cleanly like butter. Takes a while going inch by inch, but beats the heck out of a hackjob and was very useful for the code3 install.
