Problem
Ok..so today this problem happened 3 times to me..i was playin my music pretty loud (an mp3 cd) and out of nowhere the music just stops..i didnt touch anything..i tried gettin it to work..i switched to the radio and nothing..the bluetooth and navigation voices still worked..i could still hear people i called through my speakers..then out of nowhere, after about 5 mins or so, the music comes back on blasting then goes down lower and it worked again..im really confused..i think im gonna take it in, but i dont know how they would get the problem to happen again

Depending on what you mean by "pretty loud", there could be a protection system in the head unit that cuts out the source if it exceeds a certain db limit? Just a wild guess.

The electronics in our cars is pretty quirky. I've had some pretty strange Gremlins surface from time-to-time.

I've seen this on X3s with analog HU outputs with aftermarket amps, but not on a Logic 7 fiber optic car. If BT and nav still work I'd say that one of them was muting the music audio.

Milehigh,
Sorry to hear about the windshield. My iPod / 6fl has been working PERFECTLY for a week now since I picked up the car. In fact, everything has been working perfectly and I have used EVERYTHING numerous times just to see if I had any of the issues that folks on the forum have been complaining about. So far all is really perfect. Our cars were made about the same time and travelled across the pond together so I would guess that we might see the same types of issues as parts probably came from same lots and mod levels. Anyway looks like I may be wrong here. GOod luck with service - let us know how you make out.
