H8 Bulbs to 9006 for M3 Rep bumper fogs

A M3 rep bumper is being installed at the moment and the installer rang me up regarding the foglights which are originally H8 bulbs. The new bumper has 9006 foglights and installer told me I although I can't just buy an adaptor to fit the H8 socket to the 9006 socket, there is a danger wires might get fried. Due to H8 being 35 watts as opposed to the 55 watts of a 9006 bulb.

If this is true, is there any ways around this issue? Anyone with pre lci E92 and M3 rep bumpers having solved this?

a 9006 connector is suffice for H8 replacement with no issues for the M3 front bumpers.

So it doesnt matter even if the 9006 are 55 watts? Cool.
I have ordered some lights from you...looking forward to receiving them soon.
