I was reading about this earlier, but I'm not too fond of petitions because peoples voices are never heard. I remember once when I lived in the UK about 2+ years ago there was an online petition for something or other, about 60,000 people signed it but it was dismissed STRAIGHT AWAY because the parliament said they wouldn't be changing laws to do with that as it would take too much time and money. Go figure.

Meh. Make it 5 years and I might care, but I doubt the folks currently in the whitehouse are going to do anything to make it easier to import old cars that have looser emissions and mileage standards than current ones...
In any case, can't you import any car already if you jump through some hoops?
