Ive got the auto folding function
Its still kinda manual though, you press a button near the mirror adjustment panel and they fold in. Dont think BMW have a mirror folding upon lock up feature |

I have not seen any aftermarket kits for e90s, so would have to try and retrofit an e90/M3 mirror
I've seen on some forums guys having difficulties due to programming issues / etc I would like to do the same but at the moment its in the ''too hard'' basket |

i was thinking of having this too when my car was brand new. forgot about it after a few weeks of driving.
it's nice to have but doesn't really add any value to the car or its performance. let it go and you won't even know that you need it. |

Yeah of course mate, any coding you want done while we install the tuner, let me know. All good in the hood! (If you dont know what coding you want, i'll give you the list of all available to choose from anyway Note: you will have to have the button to fold mirrors already, else there is no servo motor in the mirror to actually fold them. I can code the ability to open and close them with the keyfob, but not 'enable' them if they dont already exist in your car / VO |

i know it wont affect the performance man but i have had so many previous incidents with my past cars where ppl always damage it recklessly. Its actually a good idea to have it folded when u are away from the car. And i dont want to always fold it with my hands all the time.

Is there a way to auto unfold when I put the car to "D" and drive?

Manual states that the mirrors automatically unfold once the speed is greater than 25km

For what it's worth, I used to have the fold in function on my beautiful to look at but rubbish to own Peugeot 406 coupe. All that happened was that people would park closer to the car until one day someone decided to park into the car. From then on I left the mirrors out and let them hit them instead. I suspect like the proverbial moth to light when you are the lone car in a carpark, some folks have an inability to judge this distance.
