Chaps does anyone know where I can look to see what the difference is between the Msport suspension and the stock suspension

I'm having a real hard time working out which suspension package to get, apart from just buying the 'm3 conversion pack' and just swapping out everything.

There is a BMW suspension specialist shop in Artarmon under the name of Zintow Chan's Low Low Car. You need a translator but it's worth it in the end.

What exactly did you want to know?

- Msport rides 10mm lower than stock
- Spring rate is approx 20lb/in firmer in the front (120 -> 140) and 100lb/in firmer in the rear (350 -> 450)
- Shocks are designed to control body roll a little better at the trade off of ride comfort.

As for the upgrade path:

1. Get coilovers (KW/Bilstein/AST)
2. Upgrade control arms (if needed)
3. Upgrade sway bars (if needed)

I guess you nay have just said it. Is it just spring rates and lower?? Or are the toe rods, bushings trailing arms, sway bars different?

Yes, but given a chain is only as strong as the weakest link, you're probably better off upgrading springs/shocks first...

that said, you can still upgrade the sway bar, especially if you have Msport suspension which is decent enough already.

Thats correct...

non Msport + msport share all the other suspension components except for springs and shocks.

m3 has it's own unique components.

If I was looking to improve handling I would go:

- Bilstein PSS10 coilovers
- M3 control arms (with upgraded bushes)

and I'm pretty sure I'd be very happy with that setup along with 90% of other people
