Reason for misfires?

So after searching around i understand that the misfires are caused by either the ignition coils or spark plugs needing to be replaced. Is there a particular reason why the plugs and coils are failing so prematurely? Is there a recall that i am not aware of in regards to misfires? The Reason why i am asking is because my car is going into the dealer for a second time (1st time they changed the plugs, coils and turbos) within a month for what i expect to be either plugs or coils (sputtering, rpm fluctuating and then SES light coming on and off...seems to happen more often on cold start ups)

For me, I believe it's the aggressiveness of my tune, but it can vary from car to car

An improper fuel injector spray pattern can also cause misfire.

According to my dealer, the recent recall (new fuel pump and injector check) provided a new part number for the fuel injectors. They only replaced ones that had a certain range of serial numbers, but the new injectors have been upgraded because of these misifiring problems. Mine recently developed some misfires and they replaced the remaining 4 injectors (they only did 2 at the recall) so now all 6 of mine are the "new" and improved part.

I am going to replace my spark plugs next week when the tool comes in (bought it today) because I believe they are due, especially with all of the fueling and now misfire issues they have been through over the past 3.5 years.
