I have a 2011 335i with the top of the range Individual Audio System. I've always thought the bass was terrible, but this week I had an opportunity to compare it with a Harmon Kardon Logic 7 in the same type of car. My system basically has no low frequency bass, like the subwoofer is not working?????

I've done the comparison with the all the audio settings identical, including equaliser.

Does anyone know where the subwoofer is and if/how it can be tested?? Apparently it is supposed to be connected to the door sill cavities?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Not many with the Individual audios here but if you look at some of the Installs
and Diy's there are pictures of the underseats in an out of the cavity.
assuming its in the same place.

The easiest way I can think of to test is.
Get some music with bass heave content.
Turn off the Logic 7 fade to the front turn up the base stick your head next to it.
