Smile Rogue Ikon exhaust and brake dust

hi gentlemen, a rookie just on board.

got my new 323i cab back in August 2011. to be honest the driving experience was a bit plain (i came from the Alfa camp and u know what i mean), not until i recently changed my set of tires from Original 17" RFT to 19" non-RFT. the whole sensation has change and i am glad about it now.

was originally planning to sell the car but now i think i would keep it and continue with the mod i planned.

i did alots of research on the internet for the exhaust and found this Rogue engineering ikon exhaust. i think thats the exact sound i am looking for, and i have some questions and would be greatly appreciated if someone can share their thoughts:
1. does anyone installed it on the E93, wondering if it would fit
2. i dont see any local shop carry this brand, i am thinking to order it from bimmerworld, am i on the right track? ********** said the shippment will only sent to airport, and i have to clear the custom myself from there
3. anyone share their experience with this exhaust? with resonator deleted or not?

Also, has the brake dust issue bother you guys? coz i dont see much discussion about it locally but it definitely drives me crazy. Researched there are ceramic brake pads you could change (akebono, hawk etc.) which produce very little dust, but i checked with the manufacturers and they are not sure if it will fit my car as it is a 2011 model. anyone has changed this? share your experience?

sorry for the long post and is there upcoming meets? would love to join!

*sharing a glimpse of my ride, cheers!

Hi Bro, maybe a exhaust is not a cost/effective mod on the 323i engine..? Maybe focus on engine response, handling plus some weight reduction would be better-off?

Would you like to consider:-

H&R sway bar
BMS power box + Okada Plasma Direct + K&N drop in (strong combo for N52-53 Engine)
PSS10 or B8+sport spring or KW V1-V3
Quality 18' forged wheel like rays/BBS
It's good to upgrade the brake system too, AP racing or BMW perfornance would be the quality choices with affordable price

I think you would experience quite a dynamic changes base on the above options

Thank you

thx for your recommendation NL684. will definitely look into your suggestions.

i do also have the "BMS power box / Okada Plasma Direct / K&N drop in" on my to do list.

but one thing i am also interested as Harriz..... the weight reduction, is there really a way? coz i feel the car is really heavy.

cheers

Typically i have 3 options for you in terms of weight reduction

18' Forged one piece wheel, for example, Rays VR G2 18' weight around 8kg per wheel while stock 18' wheel weight around 13kg

AP racing caplier is the lightest one, much more lighter than stock even brembo or alcon

Titanium exhaust but i am not sure any brand design one for 323i, titanium exhaust is 50% lighter than stock exhaust, provide from mid pipe to muffer

I strongly suggest you get a nice set of 18' forged wheels first........light wheel really make a big difference.......

thank you Sir for the suggestion!

for the BMS power box, does it make the "DS" mode any difference? and the K&N drop-in means just the filter right? nothing to do with the the cold air in-take right? i saw some bro changed them too.

BMS powerbox won't make your car faster or more powerful, just enhance engine response and result in better pick up, also it make the throttle response better

K&N drop in just the air filter

You can try the bmw perfornance air intake ($9K for parts only), but i think mostly for outlook, the carbon material cover make the intake air colder, however, based on cost/effective assumption, not suggested.

Try powerbox + Okada + K&N and replace your super heavy 19' beytron wheel to 18' forged wheel first.
