Any Big Brake Kit for 335i with 4-piston front and 2-piston rear ?

Hi,

I'm just wondering if there are any BBKs on the market with 4 piston for the front and 2-piston brakes for the rear (like the new M-Sport brake upgrade on the new F30 3-series). I am hoping that in the future I will be able to upgrade my brakes with something more affordable than the 6-piston front/4-piston rear kits.

I was looking at the BMW performance brake kit (which is not recommended on the 335i) but I am not sure how much of an upgrade it it, the rotor diameter is even smaller than the one of the 335i.

Rotora

The only brake system I know available for the 335 with 4 piston front is the Rotora, but it also offer the option of upgraded rotors for the rear or another 4 piston caliper.

Wait for the F30 to come on sale. The 335i MSport package comes with 4-pot front and 2-pot rear. With any luck, those will be a direct swap on the E90 335i, considering that the chassis is pretty much the same.

I've been holding off on purchasing any brake components till then.

Yeah, can't seem to find anything with 4Pot fronts and 2Pot rears... Stoptech and all the others are 6Pot fronts and 4Pot rears.

i highly highly doubt itll be a direct swap over, if the rotor diameters are the same, at the very leasts brackets will need to be made to fit the 4/2pots onto a e9x 335.

The BBK from Performance Friction is a 4 piston set in the front, IIRC. Not cheap though, roughly in the same category as Stoptech I believe. Great kit if one can afford it. Here's a link to an in-depth review of it with loads of technical information and photos: Performance Friction - 135i BBK review - MotoIQ magazine

Why would you need brackets? We should be able to replace both rotors and calipers directly, no?
