I have a 2011 335d (March 2011 build) with Idrive, BMW apps and smartphone integration. I have paired my Sprint EVO phone. Bluetooth works great and phone book has downloaded just fine.

I have searched and can't get a clear answer. I am having problems with voice dialing by name. If I say "Dial Name" it takes me to the redial list. If I say "Dial Joe Blow" it also take me to the redial list. The only thing that I can find that works is to say "Phonebook" and then go from there.

It has been six months since I sold my 2008 M3 but I'm pretty sure I could say "Dial Name". I guess that wasn't much different than saying "Phonebook" to this 2011 Idrive.

Is there any way I can get it to "Dial Joe Blow"? My Cherokee can do this.

p.s: My manual indicates there is a voice command of "Dial Name"
