Repair for Washer Cap/nozzle?
Hey guys,
I was coming on home Jersey and had realized that my passenger washer cap/nozzle was missing, I'm guessing it flew off sometime during the commute (slow-ish traffic at about 60-65) when I used my wipers. I don't think that this defect is under warranty (in the US), but I found some posts that dealers replaced the parts and painted the new cap as goodwill, since it is essentially is BMW's fault. My question to you guys is whether anyone using dealer warranty service around Queens/LI have had this replaced successfully with no hassle? I've been to John Denice out at Hassel and he's been real good to me; have any of you dealt with him about the cap/nozzle issue? Also, I realize that as long as nothing is leaking, apart from the washer fluid coming from the tube's hole when I pull the stalk, that it is an extremely DIY (I think just two parts - nozzle and cap?). If per chance that I'd need someone to paint the cap, what would be the pricing on that? I honestly have no clue how much it'll cost to paint something the size of a flattened-out starburst. Thanks! |
