If it were me i'd do some polished 18's (not a mesh style). I think it would pretty good on your color car.

Probably won't make too much of a difference in terms of value. You are not going to get your money back either way with rims. Depending on where you live, put some snow tires on the 17's and upgrade to 18's or 19's for the summer. Check out the M3 forum, you can always find someone selling their OEM M rims.

Many will aruge 17s are too small for our cars.
I have the same setup as you - 17s with the sports package and willl be finally moving to 19s this spring once the weather changes. Many others usually agree with the following: 19s look better on our cars than 18s 19s weigh more than 18s and if looking for performance 18s might be the way to go 17s will be fine - but will look a tad small 18s are usually "big enough" and look good on our cars - as long as the car has some type of lowering to it Most will probably say get 18s. I would agree. "value" should not really be considered - putting 17s, 18s, or 19s on our cars will not really alter the value - go trade a car in with tint, rims, intake, exhaust, and 19"s and then take the same exact car but stock and trade it in - you will get the SAME PRICE.
