Garage List
Driving with different tyre patterns and depths also increases wear and tear on the differential.

Look at it this way:-
Can you drive with one eye closed?
Yes

Would you advise driving with one eye closed?
No

Xenon to suggest that 4 channel abs will stop a car skidding or losing total control is complete bollocks.

Read my post again. I suggest that in certain situations it IS dangerous, and CAN be fatal depending on the circumstances.

What is your source of data?
I would like to study it with a view to presenting it to GE Capital and LEX.

Thanks,
Steve

I suggest you re-read my post then as I said nothing of the sort. I said it will compensate for varying levels of grip on each wheel, which it does. You seemed to be suggesting that mixing tyres was bad because of differing grip but perhaps you mean something else so I'd be grateful if you would explain.

I'd like to see your evidence too, especially the occasions where it has been fatal. I too would like to speak to our leasing company about their tyre replacement policy. I can't find any evidence of this myself on the web so it would be interesting to see it.

Very much so. I'm not playing stupid games - if you have evidence that this is the case then I'd very much appreciate seeing it.

Aside from the fact the first thing I'd consider doing is ask for a refund on the part worn and chuck the money towards two new rears, could the juddering be due to a likely difference in rolling circumference, if as you say one tyre is now like new and the other barely legal, it could be highlighting an underlying rear diff issue/problem?

Any experts?
