TPS System - Aftermarket alloys?

I'm about to fit some Aftermarket alloys to my wheels and i just remembered Ive got Tyre Pressure Monitoring on my car

Does this mean i have to fuck around with a sensor in the old alloys?

All the system does is compare the rotation of the wheels, if one tyre loses it's pressure its circumferance will reduce and thus rotate quicker. So, in no way linked to the wheels or tyres themselves.

No - thats a US law thing so they have to have 'proper' sensors.

Does the TPS system compare rotational speed to the correct RS or simply to that of the other wheels?
