I have a coolant leak from the temperature sensor in the lower radiator hose, but I can't get the thing out.
I detached the electrical connector and tried pulling while squeezing the two lock tabs. Then I got a Vise-grip involved and the temperature probe pulled out, but not the outer body of the sensor. I just ordered the whole sensor instead of just the washer in case I break the sensor. So I have a couple days to find a trick on getting it out nicely. Any Ideas. It seems simple, but maybe I need a DIY. I have the Bentley Manual but it doesn't really mention the part. http://www.bavauto.com/lview.asp?img...3621433077.jpg Last edited by robbdogg; 02-03-2012 at 01:55 AM.. |

Well the temperature sensor started leaking more after I messed with it. So I had at it again and it pulled out. I put a black faucet washer in place of the green one until I get the new sensor. Not a drip from the sensor with the temporary washer after a test drive.
