Good Price on a Used 2011 335i Sedan?

I found a car in my dealer's inventory that I'm thinking about buying and could use some advice on whether it's a decent deal or not, and how I should negotiate.

Specs
2011 335i Sedan
11,000 miles
Manual Trans
Jet Black
Convenience Package
Premium Package
Sport Package
Navigation
Harmon Kardon Sound
Heated Seats

They're asking $42,980

It still has the original warranty (not even a year old, so it's not a CPO). The only thing that I'm concerned about is not having fold-down rear seats, but I don't think it's a deal-breaker.

Is it a fair price? What leverage do I have to negotiate.

From what I've heard, BMW Financial would finance it at 4.9% and 72 months.

ask 38k , and try to find Credit union that has lower interest rate.

I'd walk with that kind of interest rate. BMW Financial will rape you for 72 months @ 4.9%

I would consider that price a starting point for negotiations. I would think $38-40k would be more like it. Especially when you consider what you could probably negotiate on a new one. Their price is what, maybe $5k below a good deal on new with similar options? (I probably being generous too).

To be honest, the idea of 72 month financing on a used car bothers me more than the price - be that's just me. Assuming you can't get or qualify for better than 4.9% (I'm guessing the really low rates are for new cars), you're looking at almost $700/month until 2018......seriously?

Just over a month go I paid 6k more for a similar car NEW, mine has the same options + metallic paint, M-Sport, Cold Weather and PE.

I'd recommend going in at 37k w/ third-party financing. You shouldn't pay more than 40k, esp since we're about a month away from residuals/prices falling off a cliff.

I recently bought a nearly identical car:

2011 335i Sedan
12.2k miles
Titanium Bronze
Convenience Package
Premium Package
Sport Package
Nav
Harmon Kardon sound

No heated seats though

Paid $45k out the door, but that was after tax and fees with extended warranty (6 yr 100k) which was $4k alone. I think I got the car down to around $38k or so if I remember right

I agree closer to 40 tops should be a fair deal. I just purchased an 11' 335xi coupe with similar equipment for 41. Also if you've got a credit score over 720 you should be able to get around 3.5% for 72, I got 1.9 for 60 and that was not through BMW.
