GP Thunder 7500K fog lights

Well I got my GP thunder 7500k H11's for my 2006 e90 and I was assured they would be plug and plays. Well I got to the bulb and took it out, and I go to put my new bulb in and it doesn't fit. Here's a pic:

Wrong bulb, or am I just doing something wrong?

They dont even look close. The bulbs look accurate as far as an h11 goes, but your cars end of it looks funky. What fogs do you have? OEM,M Sport, M3 rep?

Okay, I am resurrecting my older thread because I don't want to start a new one.

I got the 9006 bulbs, installed them today, and everything went completely fine. They look absolutely stunning with my Mtec v3's.
However, after only running them for a few minutes, the glass on the fog light gets pretty hot. I never noticed this with the stock bulb. Is this normal, and will it be a problem in the future?

Those bulbs are available in 55W which is the same as OEM, or 80W which is going to be very hot. What do the bulbs say? Did you ever feel the fogs prior or just now? Maybe they were alwasy warm.

They are 55W, I made sure of it. I never really felt them before, so they are probably normal.

Yea 55w bulbs get very hot. With the reflector directing the lgith and alot of the heat forward they put off alot of heat. Should be fine.

You can put the old bulb back in on one side and then see if there is a difference between left and right. An infra-red temp gun would be best but I guess the touch and feel approach may be good enough to tell if there is a difference.

I've been running the same bulbs for years w my m3 rep (same fogs as mtech) w out any issues whatsoever. You should be fine as long as whoever switched the fog harness didn't leave any loose connections.
