Tint Law and Inspection

My friend is a CT resident, currently in NC and both tint laws are 35%.

He's curious if tint is checked during CT state inspections or not because he wants to go darker, about 25% or so because he likely is moving down to Texas in the near future.

Anyone know the drill with how window tint is handled during the yearly vehicle inspection in CT/NC? or is it not even checked at all?

If you fail his eyes, he pull out a gun to check the %.
