Battery Help
So with the good weather we've been having, decided to bring out the 335i and go for a drive today. Went to start the car and everything lit up but didn't turn over. Reconnected the battery tender and it showed the battery was low, found that kind of odd as the tender was charging the battery since the car was parked. Got the battery charged up again, but when I unlock the car the the voltage drops drastically. Only way to get the car started is by boosting the car. I'm pretty sure the battery has run its course...(original battery from '07).
Any other ideas of anything else you guys think it is? Also is it worth going to BMW to get the battery replaced? (read some of the horror stories ppl have had so leaning towards this option) Or can an independent shop like Ivo @ Columbus do everything without the extra labour costs of a dealership? Thanks in advance! |

What are the horror stories?
I bought the battery from the dealer, installed and coded the car myself. Everything is working perfectly fine. |

The explosion wasn't strictly because of the coding. The member that installed it forgot to plug back the vent hose into the battery that vents the gases outside.
Without that, the gases built up in the trunk area. |
