lol @ anger in thread
you'd have check the fed/state case law in florida for the scope of warrantless car searches based on smell (pretty sure there isn't a US supreme court case that is definitive as to OP's specific question) oh..and Last edited by infinitekidM2C; 04-19-2012 at 09:21 PM.. |

Templar = giving the military a bad name. C'mon man... Even a 5yr old can understand what O-cha's trying to say.
Don't give consent for a cop to search your car, even IF you're not into material things, your friends are saints, and your psychic. |

One time about two years ago i had just finished smoking in my car with some friends and drove past a cop. He didn't acknowledge me but i knew he was coming for me (maybe it was paranoia). I turned into a street and boom he flew up out of nowhere behind me with lights blaring.
We stashed whatever we had left underneath the shift boot between the rubber cushioning and sprayed some ozium odor neutralizer. Cop walked up the car, i rolled my window down, he asked for license and registration and told me my tint was too dark. He walked back to his car, wrote a ticket for tint and said have a good night. UP TO THIS DAY, i have no idea how he didnt know we JUST finished smoking. The spray couldnt be THAT good. I looked at it as an opportunity to never smoke while driving again. |

but in all seriousness, I have completely given up on smoking in my car. In fact my 1er has never been smoked in, exactly for this reason. But one rule of thumb I used to live by when I did, dont carry more than what you can eat in 10-20 sec and absolutely dont ever let them search your car, if for whatever reason they come to your house, dont even open the door, speak to them through a window |

stunned by this, but in agreement. cops are not there to protect you. they are not your friends. don't let the good 1% give the bad ones a good name. |
