Saturday Project - new diffuser/brakes/summer wheels

Thought I'd take advantage of the nice weather yesterday and finally fit my new diffuser, change the rear brake pads and put my 19"s on for the summer.

Pads took about 3 hours, main part of this was keep going to the shed to find the tools I needed, tip for next time: when putting the new brake pad sensor in - work from the pad backwards as there won't be enough slack if you start at the other end. Total cost £75 (pads £50 delivered from a member on here and the sensor £25 from the dealer).

Got the 19's genuine 313's out of storage and fitted them with 12mm spacers.

Finally got to do the diffuser. I had been thinking about getting the performance diffuser for a while as I thought the stock one looks a bit cheap, then I saw 335ilondon and he remarked how crap the stock diffuser looked so that made my mind up for me. Ordered it in December and it finally arrived last week after they had to re-order the original lost order

Got the worst set of instructions ever. It showed an adapter on the picture that was missing (phoned up to find out that it was only needed on a 330i), it showed that you had to trim 20mm off of the bumper and it had a load of nuts and screws in the bag that wasn't needed. I remembered that acerboo had the same diffuser and he told me you didn't need to trim, just bolt it on. (thanks Jeff )

So I went ahead and bolted it on and it fitted perfectly. Even the missus remarked that of all the money I'd spent (...wasted), that was money well spent, blimey!!

Total cost £300

Sorry to ramble, here's the pics...

Love the new diffuser. Your car is great especially with the 313 alloys.

Are you selling your original diffuser, as I would be interested in buying it?

Looking good! Is the diffuser just a simple bolt off/bolt on job then?

For the 335 it was about a 20 minute job to bolt off/bolt on, for the 330 there is an adapter that screws to the undertray with a bit of drilling so would add another 15/20 mins.
The trimming I'm not sure which model that's for, but it looks like it would add another half hour.
