19x8.5 tire recommendation/problems

hi guys, im running on stance sc5 19x8.5 et 35 with 235/35 tires . Feels like im running on rims, not enough meat on the tires. Can someone recommend me another set of tire size that will have a lil more meat to it ? thanks...

ALSO, one of my tire in the front driver size is making some weird noise. The noise im referring too is like tires full of mud rolling on a pavement or tires going on flat rolling. But, my tires are fine. What could it be ? can someone point me to the direction on what to do or knows what im talking about? thanks

is it bad to put two type model of tires in the front from the back?? i have an awd 325xi sedan

You have a different type of tire on the front and back? I don't think that it would pertain to any of the issues you mentioned but it's going to make the car handle awkwardly.

Avoid mixing tires, especially on an Xi.

As for tire size Gary is the man, as for noise... well i wont jump the gun but sometimes
wheels with a stainless lip will make noise do to the flexing and bending of the lip ( manufactures deffect) is just a possibilty. stance is a decent brand but things do happen. switch the wheel to the other side and see if it makes noise at a different area, if yes then its the wheel.

actually for some reason the tire that was making that sticky tire sound on pavement ends up being a bad tire....

By "bad tire" do you mean it was out of round/had high road force? Just curious...either way, glad you found the issue and were able to get it corrected.

iono what the problem was...when i put the one bad tire that was making that sticky tire noise everytime it hit pavement in the rear, the noise stopped....it was high speed balanced on all four not road force..

Are you still getting road noise due to the low profile tires?? I just installed my 19s with the same tire size and im getting alot of road noise in the front. Is this normal?? I never had 19s before so im just curious if this is something I'd have to deal with, with this tire size..

I recently had new wheel bearings installed so it cant be that. From the stocks to the new wheels went from quiet to humming. the car runs smooth at any speed with no shakeing or vibration. Can it still be the balance?? Can alignment have anything to do with it? Also, when I make a sharp turn the humming noise gets louder. Im totally clueless!

if you want thicker/meatier tires, you need to switch to 18s.

then the new setup will be an inch taller overall and with the thicker tires on a 19" wheel on a e9x, itll look really awkward and mismatching. but whatever floats your boat.
