Why are my GP Thunders yellow?

Had a set of GP Thunders installed yesterday at Autocouture. Didn't have time to check them as I was running very late. On my way home I saw the reflection of the angel eyes in another car, it looked a little less yellow than stock.

What gives? All the pics I've seen of the GP Thunder I've seen look very white.

I think 7500? I have to check when I get home but either way they look like garbage.

I need something else that's plug and play.

They returned my stock bulbs in the original gpt package. ACM is a great shop, I sent Sal a PM lets see what he says but I agree, the bulbs look stock. Maybe defective?

Are you looking at them with the headlights on or off.

With the headlights on the voltage is cut in half, with the headlights off they are a full power as daytime running lates.

Makes quite the difference in how they look.

the biggest reason that your not happy with them is the fact they they are still halogen bulb. it is a yellowish filament covered by blue so its just changing the color. Blue+Yellow makes green.

If you are looking for a true colored solution we recommend switching to a LED bulb such as out LUX H8 V3 angel eyes. Sal's shop can get them installed for you as well

I was probably fixing this as you were typing a reply

The day time running lights were disabled with my car which is why I never saw the GP Thunders at full power.

I turned the parking lights/headlights on and was confused as to why they were yellow.

Found a PDF install from burgertuning regarding aftermarket angel eyes, set my DTRL to on and they work just fine.

BTW I called autocouture and they said no problem just bring the car in and they will fix it for me.

Wish I had known about the DTRL needing to be on

Anyways, thanks to everyone who posted and thanks to AutoCouture for their great customer support.
